Through donations from individuals, organizations, businesses and foundations, Project Exposure grants funds for photographer’s travel expenses for US based nonprofit organizations that lack the funds necessary to send photographers to the countries where they operate. Upon return from the assignment Project Exposure also provides funds for photography exhibitions from each funded assignment in order to create public awareness.
On an ongoing basis, Project Exposure reviews photography requests submitted by nonprofit organizations and portfolios submitted by photographers. Once approval has been granted for an assignment Project Exposure will provide the funds for international flights, accommodations, transportation and meals during the assignment. The non-profit organization receiving the grant will be responsible for making all arrangements for travel, insurance, transportation and accommodations with, and for, the photographer.
Project Exposure will provide the funds for displaying the photographs, marketing the exhibition, securing gallery space and other unspecified expenses associated with the exhibition, up to a limit determined by the Board of Directors of Project Exposure. Proceeds from the sale of images during the exhibition will help fund future Project Exposure grants.
The nonprofit organization and photographer will be granted usage for their own promotional purposes. Project Exposure will use the images for promotion and fundraising in various mediums such as, but not limited to, prints, calendars, books, brochures, websites, etc. Rights to the images will not be sold to third parties and all uses will be for fundraising and marketing purposes only.
