Project Exposure in collaboration with Redline Gallery, Design for the Other 90% and International Development Enterprises (IDE) presents the work of photographer James Chance, the first in a four part artist presentation series highlighting the issues of shelter, health, water and transportation.
James’ personal work centers around people and their immediate environment. He is currently exploring the theme of ‘home’, where he is documenting different living situations and the domestication of ‘unsuitable’ locations due to overpopulation. James is the current recipient of the POYi Emerging Vision Incentive, a $10,000 award provided by Pictures of the Year International for an emerging photographer. He is working on a long-term documentary essay photographing a community living in Manila’s North Cemetery which will be the focus of his presentation Thursday July 21, 2011 7-9 PM at Redline Gallery in Denver Colorado.
